FBI Must Produce Documents in Seth Rich Case by April 23: Court

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) must hand over documents to a plaintiff in a case concerning deceased Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, a court ruled Monday. The FBI must produce the documents by April 23, U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant ordered. The order came in a case brought in federal court by Brian Huddleston. The Texas resident filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in April 2020 asking the FBI to produce all data, documents, records, or communications that reference Seth Rich or his brother, Aaron Rich. Seth Rich was working for the Democratic National Committee when he was gunned down in Washington in 2016 in a murder that’s never been solved. The FBI said it would take up to 10 months to produce the requested documents, triggering the lawsuit.
