At Least 4 Injured After Multiple Shootings in Monroe County, Pennsylvania

At least four people were injured on Monday afternoon after multiple shootings were reported in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The spate of violence prompted a shelter-in-place order for the county. “Due to several shooting incidents in the area, police are asking those on the 196 corridor between Pocono Country Place and Pocono Farms East to shelter in place. Report any suspicious activity,” the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management announced on Twitter late Monday. Pocono Mountain Regional Police Chief Chris Wagner told a news conference that police are actively investigating after four separate shootings in which four people north of Mount Pocono were shot in rapid succession. Around 5 p.m. on Monday, officers found a a 47-year-old woman shot in the back and a 19-year-old male shot in the arm at 5330 Ledgewood Drive, or the Pocono Country Place.
